The Virtual Grand National is back for 2021 and The Value Xchange has been appointed to negotiate with advertisers and sponsors for this year’s broadcast production and race.
On offer are a range of unique opportunities for this sought-after and award winning sports and entertainment event.
Carm Productions and partners Inspired Entertainment use state of the art CGI, AI and algorithms to take on a special Panel of Experts to forecast the outcome of the most famous steeplechase in the world.
In 2018 Tiger Roll won the VGN in a close finish and hours later the Tiger narrowly roared over the finishing line in the real Grand National.
In 2020 The Virtual Grand National replaced the real race on ITV and was watched by a peak audience of 4.8m, nearly 30% of the total available audience, with millions more watching extended news coverage across the UK and the globe.
Potters Corner won the race and guaranteed more than £3m was donated by bookmakers to NHS Charities Together and medical charities in the Republic of Ireland. It was named winner of the ‘Standout Charitable Effort of The Year’ trophy at the EGR awards 2020.
The TV special in April 2021 will also see the return of The Grand National Race of Champions which last year was won by the legendary Red Rum.
David Peters, Founder and Co-Owner of The Value Xchange said;
“We are delighted to be appointed to help Carm open up talks with sponsors for the Virtual Grand National which is now in its fifth successive year and which has been incredibly accurate at revealing the results of the actual race since its inception. It’s a compelling programme which is sure to get an audience of millions when it is broadcast as a prelude to the race on the 10th April. It provides a great platform for brands to associate with worlds’ most famous steeplechase”
Rob McLoughlin, Creator and Executive Producer at Carm Productions added;
“The Virtual Grand National surprised audiences across the county and globe. It also cheered everyone up at a desperate time nationally and internationally. We are delighted to be working with The Value Xchange and again hope to place a smile on all our worried and anxious faces’.
Dominic Barker - Commercial Consultant to The Virtual Grand National concluded:
“The Virtual Grand National continues to go from strength to strength, both as a compelling piece of entertainment and as a high profile commercial opportunity for potential sponsors. It's a pleasure to be working with The Value Xchange on this year's race as we communicate with a broad range of potential partners about the multi-platform opportunities available around the Virtual Grand National.”
